time to spill the beans…

So, I’m sure by now most of you have noticed that I’ve been a little MIA the past month or so.  First of all, I am really sorry about that! I promise I haven’t forgotten about you guys, and I do have a few recipes ready to share (just as soon as I can get the posts written!)  So, there IS a good reason for my recent disappearance, and it isn’t just that I’ve been being lazy :)  So without further adieu, it’s time to share our little secret with you guys…

Amber’s been promoted to a VERY important job- guard dog for Baby Lawrence! That’s right, I’ve been baking up an extra special project over here at Solano’s Kitchen- baby Lawrence (or Lil Law, as we’ve taken to calling him/her).  So while I thankfully haven’t had too much in the way of food aversions or morning sickness, I HAVE been completely exhausted.  And all of that exhaustion has meant that Daren has taken over more of the cooking (and cleaning… he is the best!!), and that baking projects have fallen almost completely by the wayside.  When I do find the energy to cook, and even get some photos taken, I usually stall out when it comes to sitting down at the computer and actually writing the post. Continually falling asleep at 8pm hasn’t helped matters either :)

Either way, I’m hopeful that I’ll get some energy back soon- and hopefully you guys won’t mind bearing with me a little longer in the meantime! Thanks as always for all of your support – we’re super excited, and we hope you are too!
